★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are two different forts in Naldurg. One is Naldurg and another fort named ‘RanMandal’ at the back side of the moat, which is built to safeguard Naldurg. There is a dam here that connects the fort and the Ranamandal, which is worth visiting. The moat around this fort is the water of Bori River. Both forts connected by a bridge constructed on river Bori.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many people doesn't know that Naldurg has its twin fort!
Ranmandal!
Currently this fort is closed for the reasons not known.
While watching Naldurg, we reach to the most fascinating point, King and queen waterfall!
If one travel to the end of the bridge, it will lead you to entrance of Ranmandal!
One can see only one gate and some window like structure!

The unique feature of the fort is that it encloses a knoll of basalt rock which juts out into the valley of the small Bori River and a long fortification wall with many bastions.
