The place is located at a very beautiful and serene place. There's a river known as Rupnarayan river..
If you are a lover of history then you will definitely connect with the vibe that this place emits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the rural residence of famous Bengali novelist Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. This place is situated in Panithras near Deulti station. The Rupnarayan river flows beside this residence. This place is renovated and well maintained. You can see the belongings used by the novelist in the rooms. There is a Radhakrishna idol in one of those rooms which was worshipped by him. There is a beautiful garden to watch. If you are on the way to Medinipur you must visit this beautiful place atleast for once.

Makes you remember all of his stories.
But there is a huge crowd and the parking is not organized at all.
I would recommend parking a bit far from the actual parking spot and walking the rest of the way.
Overall it is an awesome place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ He was, for me, the common man's storyteller. And his bungalow comes out of the pages of a novel. Visit this place mid week in a wintery morning, when there is footfall is low, and you soak up the earthly feel of this quaint little place. Also visit the Rupnayaran river bank nearby and sit quietly for an hour or two listening to the river lapping up the banks.
