★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to sit, a little next to the chetsingh ghat and five minutes walk from the assi ghat and two three minutes walk from Harishchandra ghat.
View of the ghat from here is quite clear, comparatively less crowded than other famous ghats. You can also join the streets if you walk towards upstairs and can also reach to the haatha from here.
Can have a great coffee and maggie at mahadev cafe run by satyam. Overall a nice place to enjoy sunrise and chilli evening. Have fun

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As someone who has travelled extensively in Asia, nothing prepares you for what is on offer here. I’m not really talking about the cremation rituals, that’s a piece of cake to take in. It’s really the busy-ness and urgency of Varanasi that is to behold. It’s such a stimulating avenue of spirituality and meaninglessness. If you want that clashing of forces that India is known for, this is where you want to be. I recommend a boat ride, or hire a guide to walk around with you if you’re lonely or need a hug. I don’t know, maybe take the man out for a lassi. He’s earned it.
