They have tour guide from government who acts like school teacher instead.
Better to avoid.
Instead try clicking some Instagramable pictures of Jalmahal lying straight away.

Guide available to all the visitor by default, included in ticket cost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An interesting tourist spot just opposite to the Jalmahal. A nice museum with so many things. Tickets cost just 100 Rs per head. You will get a guide who will make you understand all the things of museum in such a interesting and funny tone. Everyone must visit this place. One will get to know a lot of things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arguably one of the least interesting places (for me) I've visited.
I did not find anything remotely interesting that is not available in other museums and exhibited in a far more aesthetic manner.
Auto and cab drivers are perhaps given a commission (I have absolutely no idea why they would recommend the place as one of the best) to bring unsuspecting visitors here.
Of course, I too had a choice not to visit, but I stupidly believed the auto driver.
