Aahh! O God I need water were my words reaching there. So, we went there walking on those steep paths . Felt so relaxed reaching there and I forgot that that I was thirsty. It's basically hanuman temple and yes beaware of the Monkeys. The verses of Hanuman Chalisa are written above the stairs . It has an open area too with swings which was covered with snow . Photography was not allowed inside the temple .

Jakhoo temple is one of the must visit place in Shimla. There is a Ropeway facility by Govt to reach to Jakhoo which will cost 550 per person for round trip. But there are local taxis also, which is much cheaper than Ropeway. We were group of 6, so we took a taxi for 1000 rs for round trip. Once you reach there ,there is a 2-3mins hiking to reach main temple. That's a small ancient temple of Hanuman ji but a big statue of Hanumanji. There is bhandara also where you can have food. Be aware of the monkeys, they took shoes of one of our friends ,shades of other friend and other things from people. So make sure you are carrying everything very carefully and try to keep them inside bag.

Big tall statue of Shri Hanuman ji. Nice place... The statue can be seen from very far places of Shimla. You can reach there via Ropeway, via road transport, or via walk. There is prasad Bhandara.

Jai Hanuman. Nice place to visit. There is a separate jakhu ropeway also present for going to the temple, they charge around 550 rupees for a round trip per person, it is nice experience to have if you are going with family. I went there with my friends so to save money we preferred to go up by walking up to the temple which took around half an hour for us. There are cab services also which charge around 3 hundred round trip per person. It is upto you what means you travel but going there is must when you visit shimla. At 6.30 pm evening prayers happens there. You can see the sunset which looks tremendous and feel the cold ❄️? breeze too.

How to Reach : 1. Take Ropeway Approx 500-600 ₹ per person 2. Take a Cab Approx 500 ₹ per Cab 3. Take the staircase. It is said that Lord Hanuman took rest here when HE was on His way to collect Sanjeevani booti for Lakhshmana. The Lord Hanuman statue is around 108 ft tall and can be seen from Shimla Mall Road & The ridge. It is a very serene place. When we reached Aarti was going on and a local woman (probably possessed) was doing the Aarti and at the end Pujari ji sprinkled Jal on her and she was screaming for a while then back to normal. Didn't get time to explore the story behind it due to crowd. Pro Tip : Don't wear Sunglasses/ specs or any other valuable ornaments as monkey gangs are looking for it and they will snatch it and you wouldn't even know. Exchange it for the Prasada/Food ? Jay Bajrangbali ?

Serene and calm place to visit. We did the trek up to this temple and it’s a fairly difficult one. Alternate way is the longer route via vehicle. Well maintained and a clean place. It’s the highest point in Shimla & the 100+ ft huge statue of Lord Hanumanji is visible from almost any part of the city. Don't carry any valuables or baggage to the temple as there are a lot of monkeys in and around the temple; they don't harm you as such.

A great place to visit, its 8400 ft high from the ? level, any you should definitely try the cable car once, its a awesome experience overall. You another thing you should not wear any sunglasses or glass as that can been taken by the bandars. For more info you can always refer to my photos. Thank you.
