Located within the Lodi Gardens, this tomb set within its own garden has a separate fort like enclosure. As there are no crowds, it's a great place for photography with its beautiful arches and well maintained lawns. It's an ideal spot for an outdoor get together. The Lodhi Gardens are a must visit in New Delhi as they offer free access to numerous historical buildings. These are a short walk across the road from the Safdarjung tomb, at a walking distance from the Jor Bagh metro station on the Yellow line. This building is the tomb of Sikandar Lodi, the second sultan of the Lodi Dynasty that ruled over the Delhi Sultanate. The tomb itself is a fairly simple octagonal building and you can only see the cenotaph above the grave through the metal fence that prevents entry into the tomb. The tomb is set in gardens bounded by fort like walls, a precursor to the garden tombs of Mughal architecture. The tomb is part of the ensemble of Lodi era monuments inside Lodi park. It’s not quite as pretty as the other monuments though, but still worth a detour if you’re in Lodi park anyway.

It's a historic place and protected by ASI. No entry fee and parking space is limited though free. Gardens and flower trees are maintained by Munciple commission. There are some fountain but not so maintained as water is very dirty and smells bad. People can definitely spend a quality time with family or with their loved ones. There are some water dispensing stations that too are free. Public convenience ? are also there, maintained by NDMC and very neat and clean.

Here lies one of the kings of Delhi sultanate. Lodi dynasty was the last dynasty of the sultanate. This tomb is just near the water pond. You have to climb few stairs to climb up. There is a beautiful Archway through which one enters the area. The tomb is beautiful but you cannot go inside. Keeping in mind that the person was king, the structure is quite somber as compared to other tombs. A humble request to people; please don't draw on the walls!

Lodhi Garden is very beautiful with trees, plants, flowers, a small lake, tomb and a duck house which is favourite among children. You will feel in the lap of nature.

If you wanna escape the huddle and the rush of town this is the garden you could visit and spend some hours full of gratitude for the bounty of nature. Replete with history and a pond full of swans and ducks you would not miss anyone or anything immaterial. Enjoy guys.
