★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Summer Hill Railway Station located in Himachal Pradesh. It's second last stoppage before the last stoppage Shimla. Located in a very good place with an outstanding view. Himachal Pradesh University is about two kilometers from here and Summer Hill is about one kilometer away. They also have wheelchair accessible entrance and a parking lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a small and beautiful toy train station near Summer hill AG Colony. Shimla train station is just next to it. Not all train stops here but few train pass each other everyday. The station can easily be reached by car or bus running through this route.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Summer Hill is a distant suburb of Shimla, the state capital of Himachal Pradesh at a height of 2,123 meters. It is on a hill, 5 km west to the Shimla Ridge, and is part of the seven-hill cluster. Besides being a popular tourist destination, the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (established 1965), housed in the former Viceregal Lodge, which was built in 1884-88, is on the nearby Observatory Hill.
Today, it hosts the Himachal Pradesh University, which mainly offers post graduate programmes in Humanities, Commerce, Science, Management, Law and Languages, and was started in 1975. Most students walk to the Hill Station of Shimla from the campus, though Summer Hill lies on the Kalka-Shimla Railway line.

The Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi during his visit to Shimla lived in the elegant Georgian House of Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur located here. HP University is also situated over here. At a distance of 1 Km from her, Potter hill is another popular picnic spot with all the natural beauty. Ecological Park is situated here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The railway station for the Himachal Pradesh University. All trains stop here for a couple of minutes. Very very close to the end of the line, the next station being the terminus Shimla.
A very pretty station as are all the stations on this route. Also very well-maintained and neat and clean.
