Taj Museum Overview
Located inside the Taj Mahal complex, the Taj Museum was established in 1982 on the western ends of the Taj Gardens. The tiny but terrific depository is a double-s eyed building with a quadrangle projection outside. Situated a little left on the main gate of the mausoleum inside the Jal Mahal, the museum provides the wonderful opportunity to have a close look at the blueprints, arts and artefacts used in the construction of the world-class monument. It also houses paintings displaying the construction and planning of the graves of the Emperor and his Emperess and the angles measured are so, that the foot of the graves always faces the spectators.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a big museum consisting of two floors and has three galleries along with a main hall. The Taj Mahal Museum, as the name suggests, showcases all those things related to the creation of Taj Mahal. There are a total number of one hundred and twenty one antiques displayed in the museum. These things can be largely classified into Mughal manuscripts, Mughal miniature paintings, inscription samples, Royal decrees, drawings and plans of Taj Mahal. Some other items which are also exhibited in the museum are arms, utensils, specimen of decorative pieces, marble pillars, etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very impressive, beautiful and majestic place! It is really a Handmade masterpiece. I really recommend to visit it and to see it with your own eyes. But be aware with your pockets ( pickpockets) ; ) You can see a lot of monkeys, squirrels and chipmunks here. You really have to ( you must) bargain with guides and souvenir sellers.
