A new address for the open rooftop restaurant in the city. Delectable oriental cuisine with a wide range of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Must try traditional 'mapo' tofu, prawn shao mai and fried rice with Japanese sticky rice.

Lotus Deck is Pune City's Latest Open Air Venue with a pop up Winter special offering modern Chinese Cuisine lead by Chef Rohit Chadha . He personalise the entire experiences, indulge in perfection and examining every dishes before its been served to the table. The entire cuisine is influenced more towards Sichuan Cuisine and every ingredients is been fetched from the best of vendors around the world. Accompanying the delicious menu, our mixologists have crafted refreshing, elegant cocktails to suit every guest’s palette. The Lotus Deck channels an upbeat vibe for your after-hour cocktails, informal meetings and hang-outs against the backdrop of panoramic city view flecked with plenty of green. They have limited menu but serves all the meat you would desire , if you are allergic to any particular dishes they are more caution and serious about their customer's preferences and special instructions. We were served with a Pallet Cleanser made of Tofu sauced with a strong flavour of Dark Soya, Vinegar. Foor starters we were served with Steamed Black Pepper Chicken Dimsum, Chin Chow Kothe veg Dimsum, Sichuan Shrimp Wonton in Chilli Broth, Shredded Chicken Crushed in Sichuan Black Pepper, Double Crispy Spicy Duck, Crispy Spicy Tofu, Signature Prawns Spring Roll. What i liked the most were the shredded chicken as i could literally get the after taste of those strong flavours of black pepper crushed and left on every bite. I am a spice eater and i love any dishes which is played with spice and still not loose their original taste. Signature Prawns Springroll were those crispy coated prawns fry, with a big sized prawns coated perfectly accompanied with a sweet chilly sauce. The Sichuan Shrimp Wonton was soaked in a nice clear chilly broth which made itself a perfect dish together, sadly due to the broth the coating was not able to hold on for long. Somehow i didnt liked any of the Tofu dishes they served, and twice crispy spicy duck seems not to justify the name, there was nothing called spice, just the duck was double fried, but somehow made the dish chewy. Liked the black pepper chicken dimsum unlike the veg one, but would suggest them to increase the flavour of pepper since it should do justice to the title given to the dish. For Mains,Sizzling Lamb, Char Sui Pork, Sichuan Spicy Tofu, Vegetable Stew, Common Fried Rice, Sticky Noodles. The Char Sui Pork were the pork belly tossed in thick barbeque sauce, quite tender, full of belly fats and perfectly sliced every portion. Didnt find any sizzle in Lamb , they had served three ratio one onions for that extra crunch on every bite of lamb, but didnt find it well seasoned and the extra onions , would have liked the lamb with well saute onions in lil proportion. Loved the fried rice and specially the sticky noodles especially with the noodles tossed with the spicy sauce, sesame oil, sichuan and veggies. Honestly that was the star dish out of all the dishes apart from the shredded chicken with pepper. It has perfectly blended sauce that you wont need any separate sauces or gravy to accompany it with. For dessert, we were served with Chocolate Mousse and Green T Misu, loved the smooth dark chocolate mousse, with the extra slice of chocolate , perfect for a chocolate lover like me, but still not sweet and good for not so sweet person, but if you not a chocolate person the Green T Misu is best for the strong flavours and really soft layers of dessert just left us crave for more of the bite. Overall if you are a fond of an under the sky open deck dinner with your loved ones, beautiful ambience and lighting and some music collection by the live DJ, you can visit this place to relish some authentic oriental meal.

So I was looking for a outdoor space but different & we dropped by Lotus Deck at the Hyatt Regency. The vibe & the ambience was superb, the DJ added a fun element. I tried the Whiskey Sour & I was certainly impressed. Their wine list is fab too. Chinese is one of my faves & the food was definitely something I'll come back for !

The lotus deck is a cozy place for a romantic dinner /drink. The ambience looks simple. Food was ok. Valentines day was not the right day to visit. Booked a reservation, on arrival the booking was not visible. Kept asking us if we have done a booking. Till we left most of the tables were not occupied. Music was good but loud. 4 stars for the person who served my table and made sure we had a great time.

Nice outdoor place. The food and the service was great. But the music really put a damper on the whole experience. Loud techno music blaring from four powerful speakers.....

A New Rooftop Open Air pop up by @Hyatt Recency. They have come up with this pop-up to serve people with the popular Chinese food. Chef Rohit Chadha has designed the menu for the pop-up and personally examines each dish that comes to our table. The food/prep is influenced more towards Sichuan cuisine. The setup is done with available resources in the hotel premises only and provides you with a comfortable sofa sitting with some upbeat music to cheer up your mood. We started with a #PalletCleanser made with Tofu Cube dipped in strong thin sauce made with vinegar, soy sauce & more as base. Then came the - Starters *Steamed Black Pepper Chicken Dimsum *Chin Chow Kothe (Veg) Dimsum *Sichuan Shrimp Wonton in Chilli Broth *Shredded Chicken crushed Sichuan black pepper *Crispy Spicy Tofu *Signature Prawn Springroll *Twice Cooked Crispy Duck Mains *Sizzling Sliced Lamb *Char Sui Pork *Sichuan Spicy Tofu (Veg) *Vegetable Stew *Fried Rice *Sticky Noodles Desserts *Green T Misu *Chocolate Mousse Things I thoroughly enjoyed, *Steamed Black Pepper Chicken *Chin Chow Kothe (Veg) Both the Dimsums were very good. The covering for veg one was little thinner than the chicken one which made me like it even more. The stuffing was sufficient for the cover and was well seasoned. They were rolled & steamed to perfection. *Sichuan Shrimp Wonton in Chilli Broth, was done really well. Wontons were very simple with prawns as a filling, the coating was silky due to the broth. The broth was mild spicy and very rich, with a thick and sticky texture. The broth helped the coating from becoming dry and added the required flavors to the simple Wontons & balancing the taste. *Shredded Chicken crushed Sichuan black pepper, boneless chicken strips were made in a dark brown sauce with strong flavours from Sichuan Black Pepper. It tasted similar to chilly chicken but much better than it. The chicken wasn't coated with anything nor was deep fried, yet it tasted good. I really enjoyed this prep! Signature Prawn Spring roll, a large prawn rolled in maida roll and deep fried. For me the seasoning was a little less but still it was done well. *Fried Rice with Vegetables, a simple rice with simple seasoning. The flavours of garlic and Truffles oil made this a show stealer for the evening . It was just what I needed for the evening. It was slight spicy and delicious. *Sichuan Fried Noodles, another must have. The flat like noodles used in prep were stir fried in sesame oil, sichuan and some vegetables. They were a little hot but irresistible. This dish guarantees max satisfaction with that real-deal Sichuan flavor. *Char Sui Pork, boneless pork belly chunks were marinated in sweet BBQ sauce and roasted over charcoal. It was a combination of sweet & salty contrast flavours with a hint of spice yet it the pork taste was evident. The meat was tender, juicy and moist from inside and slight crispy from outside. This aromatic & smoky dish was delectable. You might get addicted to this one if you enjoy pork. *Green T Misu, this was one of the best tiramisu I have had till date. It’s so delicious, I’d call it one of life’s simplest melody. With simple green tea flavours this was the best way to end the dinner. *Chocolate Mousse, made with 70% dark chocolate was equally rich and heavenly. Overall, I really enjoyed the Chef Rohit Chadda's touch to this popular Chinese Cuisine. Adored the dishes I have talked about. The tofu they used which is imported from Japan was super soft and indeed melt in mouth. The desserts are to die for.

Lotus Deck is a new restaurant at the Hyatt Regency. Excellent food, beautiful open air ambiance with great music. I tried the dim sum and spring rolls, both were really delicious. For mains I had Steamed Fish, Wok Tossed Brocolli, Bean Curd Eggplant and Black Bean Fried Rice. Absolutely tasty and packed with flavour. The cuisine is close to authentic Chinese and is extremely well prepared and high quality. Desserts were amazing too. Definitely a must try restaurant.
