★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the very first, this Tomb, Mosque (behind) and Rajon ki Baoli(front) was commissioned by Daulat Khan Lodi during Lodi Dynasty.
Daulat Khan was not satisfied by the ruler of Lodi Dynasty so he invited Babur to invade the kingdom.
This incident led to the Battle of Panipat , Daulat Khan died and Lodi Dynasty ends.
Mughal Empire begins and Mohammad Khwaja, the Commander in Chief of Babur's Army captured this Location.
Probably the grave below the tomb is of Mohammad Khwaja that is why name of tomb is after Khwaja.
Tomb looks beautiful and still none of its part breaks down or collapsed after all these much years.
Some of its rooms may be beneath the ground.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated in the courtyard of the attached mosque with the ‘Rajon Ki Baoli”, it is a small tomb in the shape of a folly. Due to the damaged portion of the inscription it is hard to identify the identity of the patron. The name Daulat is clear, as is another name, Khwaja mohammad, but because of incomplete inscription, it is uncertain how and if they are linked. However, Carr Stephen writing in 1876, appears to have seen the intact inscription, and states that it is Daulat Khan, son of Khwaja Mohammad, although he only provides a translation, not the original Persian, it is not clear to identify the right one. It is Daulat Khan Lodi who built this mosque, Baoli and Tomb complex many years before his death in 1526, the very year of Babur’s victory over Ibrahim Lodi. Daulat Khan Lodi was the governer of Lahore during the reign of Ibrahim Lodi, the last ruler of the Lodi dynasty. Due to disaffection with Ibrahim Lodi, Daulat Khan invited Babur to invade the kingdom. Later, Daulat Khan regretted this move and died while imprisoned by Babur. The tomb’s stucco dome, embellished with panels in the shape of downward pointing lotus petals. The tomb’s parapet with white marble panels trimmed with red sandstone and a few blue tiles.
