This is one of the oldest universities in the world.
A lot of world changing visions and ideas have come out of this place.
The university provides degrees in a lot of fields and subjects and thus have a lot of colleges under it and a lot of students as well which causes a bit of turbulence if you want something done in the administration department.

I'm pursuing B.tech IT here and have experience a good response by the facultys but they are little slow, might because of procedure they have to follow. Now the Technology department from here is shifted to Saltlake III currently known as Technology Campus they offer course in subjects like CSE , CSIT, Optics and much more
