Uphaar Banquets - Kolkata

I had my wedding reception with a guest list of 300 guests. Arrangements were perfect including cleanliness, decor and staff behavior. Food was delicious but their experience with handling catering for 300 people where 150 people came for dinner at the same time at 9pm was missing. Buffet spreads were finishing off within seconds since the food was delicious but the caterer was not able to replace them quickly due to which many guests who came at the peak time at around 9pm left angry, complaining that they couldn't get an item even after waiting 15mins. Some even left their dinner halfway. I understand that it is difficult to fill up buffets within minutes but that is for the caterer to handle when we leave everything upto them on our wedding day. So I would highly recommend them if you have a guest list of maximum 150-200, beyond that, try to have places which are experienced with handling bigger crowds and host bigger weddings regularly. This is good for anniversary, birthdays, etc. Tip: the booking is for 8 hours, try to have that 8 hours up till 12am. After that the decorator starts opening all the decoration lights. I really wanted that senior management from IBM(My workplace) and Eveready(My father's workplace) like this beautiful place so that we can have our office parties at such a beautiful banquet but alas! Half of them stood for 15mins with empty plates in the middle of their dinner since all the buffet spreads were empty for most of the time between 9-10pm,since they could not handle the rush and many guests left complaining, few even angry with me. ??? Since they came from far away leaving important meetings but could not have a proper dinner. One more thing, they have this policy of serving starters for 2 hours only, for example 7 to 9pm or 6 to 8pm. This is really disappointing, provided the starters are so delicious, half of the guests misses out on starters due to this rule if they come outside of this 2 hour slot. @owner : please rectify this. Guests come from far off places and some come from 100mtrs away, you can't have them coming at the same time. This rule was clearly told to me but I had no other option since I wanted to book this beautiful banquet.

I arranged my son's annaprasan here on 9 th nov 2019 and was bit apprehensive in the beginning but at the end every thing turned out fantastic , from food to decoration and their support was amazing. Thanks to Tushar and team for every thing they did.

Its a marvelous banquet,my reception party was held here.Truly,arrangement was perfect. Thank you for such an awesome decor, great food.????

Great place for wedding functions..the dining area is beautiful. Accomodates a decent number of guests.metro station is nearby ..

Banquets and gardens are available for occassionss. Good ambiance and decorations. Only thing is that dinner they served very late. Guests whoever stays in distance they are not getting food. It's a bit embarrashing for hosts.

I went to book this banquet for my sister's marriage but didn't like the property at all. It is not clean at all. The carpets were not cleaned for ages I believe. They have 4 separate halls within the same banquet apart from the one in the lawn the rest are not upto the mark. No parking available. Not even for a single car. You have to park on the main road which is a busy road. They offer the package with food but don't offer you much options to select. And neither they allow you to book your own caterer. Overall I didn't like the deal and deleted it from my options list.

This is perfect value for money wedding banquet in whole Kolkata.I would like to thank Nitai da making our wedding so delightful ?. The food quality is extremely good & the service is at it's best.
