Now they have developed the place which has started attracting a lot of people on sundays... making it good tourist spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful chaupati... Development is Mostly similar to Lavasa. Only problem is seperate parking space not available nearby. Most commuters will go to park on roadside which may lead to accident while pariking or driving. Better park at harbour side & walk for 10 min to reach here. There should be provision like skywalk from harbour parking space to Gaimukh chaupati which will be safe than to walk on busy road. There should be bus stop & good frequency during 5pm to 9pm from Thane station to here & vice versa. This is beautiful & must visit place all around year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Basis Creek Viewpoint Park is an excellent place for a short outing, either alone, or with friends and family. Situated just by the side of Ghodbunder Road connecting Thane (West) to Dahisar and Borivili, the park has a very clean Riverside space where you can walk, sit, take photos and selfies. There are two restaurants - one at the shore which serves excellent freshly prepared food including Chinese cuisine and hot (like tea and coffee) and cold drinks. The second one is a floating restaurant which also doubles as a river cruise.
I've visited on Sunday evening, and there was a fairly big crowd there. The only negative point which I faced is parking a car is difficult as there was no earmarked Car Parking Place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place once upon a time was marshy and something that one will never step willingly. Now the place is transformed and is one of the attraction on the Ghodbunder road towards Thane. The small food stalls outside offers a unique street food experience. Good place to spend the evening sunset time.
