And there is one bhai who's name is " Sham " he us very nice and never says No to anywork very good boy . I loved staying there and will visit again soon ....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vatika Resort has an old charm about it and is located near Shoghi, Shimla. Waterfall and Khushala Hanuman Temple are close to the resort. The resort has beautiful rooms with skirting up the walls and contrastingly painted walls. The bed and the dressing table have floral designs carved into wood and the furnishings and chandeliers adds to the charm of the room. The attached balconies give a view of nearby cottages as well as the mountains of Shimla. The rooms have queen sized bed. The resort provides Parking Facility and Power backup. A kitchen and an in-house restaurant are also available for your gourmet needs. Free Wi-fi is available to all its guests. The only thing which was not good was mud houses which were not well maintained. Overall good resort. You can spend good quality of time here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really pleasant place, and the staff was really too cooperable with us . The food provided could have been better but overall this place justifies the price range in which it is being offered. They have cottages for 2 sharing and 3 sharing. The only challenge you will face is getting to this place as the road to this cottage is pretty tricky to climb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You get a feel of the place beforehand from reviews. The only thing that bothered us after reading reviews was the approach road but when we were on it on our way to the resort, we didn't find any issue. The only issue for few could be the last 800m or so which is a first gear climb but on the cemented road. Trekkers can use this approach road for trekking too. They rightly say 'Stay in the Jungle'. Come and experience the greenery around on a hill top. They have got nice independent huts and rooms too. Hut is more preferable though. You can park your car near your hut. A lot of options in food and food is tasty too though a bit higher on the rates. There are no other food options near by (nearest would be shoghi, main road to shimla).
Nothing is perfect and this place is no exception to this rule. Following are the issues we faced-
- spiders inside the hut. They will start appearing after you switch off the lights in night. Beware, these are no house spiders.
- cleanliness not maintained. We stayed for 2 days and no one turned up for cleaning or changing the bed sheets etc.
- They allowed a group of party people who played loud music and shouted till 1 am. That was right next to our hut. I had to come out at 1230 and asked those guys to shut that off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing property! Amazing staff & hospitality. If you want to relax and enjoy peacefully, this is the perfect place to stay. The staff, manager and the owners themselves are very friendly and helpful. With ticket bookings to food to local sightseeing or anything, they will help you with everything. Really enjoyed my stay there. Would recommend anyone who wants to enjoy beautiful hill view from there room with warm hospitality!

Reaching the resort can be tricky as the approach road is very small and steep. You cannot venture out post sunset as driving can be dangerous then. But you would not mind staying at the resort as it's so peaceful.
Bonfire available at additional cost of Rs. 500.
The downside was that the rooms were not well maintained and bathroom was not clean. We opted for mud house but as washrooms were not clean, we shifted to normal rooms but again it was not clean. Though cleaning was done moment we informed about it.
You will find dogs and cats in the resort which can make few people uneasy.
Food was fine.
