★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vivekananda College, established in 1950 as Barisha College, is an undergraduate college in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta.
In June 1956, Vivekananda College was sponsored by the State Government and upgraded to Degree College status, and renamed to Vivekananda College, in honour of Swami Vivekananda.
Due to a lack of space, the college moved from Barisha in 1959 to Thakurpukur, with the previous site being used for the women's section Vivekananda College for Women.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful college!! This is one of the best as well as top college in Kolkata...The Atmosphere of the college is very good as compared to the other college.... Economics,Chemestry, Bitane , Physics , Mathematics and Electronic are well performance every year. The Union are the Union type...but bater then most of other. Teachers are very helpful.
