Thai Monastery or Buddhist Temple at Bodh Gaya was built in 1956 by Thailand Monarch at request of Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to strengthen relations between the two countries. It is a unique and the only Thai Temple in India. This temple displays the elegance of Thai architecture. The Thai Temple is adorned with sloping and curved roof which is covered with golden tiles. The exterior is exquisite and is not to be missed. The temple stands facing the main road, next to the tourist bungalow. The temple houses a beautifully carved gigantic bronze statue of Lord Buddha. The atmosphere inside the sanctum is serene and silence falls on the ears upon entry into the monastery. A 25 meter high statue of Buddha has been built in the garden near the Wat Thai Temple

Which I don't like here is you aren't allow to go inside the temple except Bodhi dharam people. You can just do Photoshoot by standing outside the door of Temple. If you don't have a camera here are some people who click for you and you have to pay for it ofcourse in today life you can't get anything Free. If you are going here for Photoshoot then it's a best place for you.

The temple is beautiful having dragon outside the temple, seems as protector. Inside the temple God Buddha statue is there. There is a place for people who are learning the teaching of Budha.

Bodh Gaya contains one of the holiest of Buddhist sites: the location where, under the sacred pipal, or Bo tree, Gautama Buddha (Prince Siddhartha) attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. A simple shrine was built by the emperor Ashoka (3rd century BCE) to mark the spot, and this was later enclosed by a stone railing (1st century BCE), part of which still remains. The uprights have representations of the Vedic gods Indra and Surya, and the railing medallions are carved with imaginary beasts. The shrine was replaced in the Kushan period (2nd century CE) by the present Mahabodhi temple (designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2002), which was itself refurbished in the Pala-Sena period (750–1200), heavily restored by the British archaeologist Sir Alexander Cunningham in the second half of the 19th century, and finally restored by Myanmar (Burmese) Buddhists in 1882. A	Aniket Ankam on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This temple was closed due to Covid during my visit to Bodh Gaya. I just got a glimpse of this temple from the outside. The architecture of this temple is the next level and very very beautiful, I believe inside the temple is even more beautiful.
