The place is awesome!! We were there for office party. Somehow I didn't like the food. Variety of food was very few, however quality was good. Ambience was mind blowing.

Wonderful ambience. Lighting, music is good. Good place to chill out with friends. Good and exotic stock of Scotch, premium whisky. Hospitality is top notch. Rooftop with poolside as well as sitting arrangement just perfect for ideal candle light dinner.

Wykiki just announced themselves in the race of open-air rooftop restaurants and bars. The latest hotspot in town aims to provide a first-of-its-kind South Asian street food experience to Kolkata. Dining area has a series of fantastically designed glass cabanas surrounded by beautiful lily ponds, enhances the fine dining experience amidst a lush tropical ambiance. Our street food journey commenced from the bustling alleys of Thailand before moving to the historic Vietnam and detour to coastal regions of Indonesia. The bandwagon reached its penultimate when it reached at the Land of Rising Sun, Japan and parking it at the Land of Dragons, China. To start on a healthy note, Thai Lotus Root is a perfect example. Lip-smacking delicious creation from Thailand where the lotus roots cut in thin circles and fried to perfect crispiness. Its crunchy outside and not dry inside. Drenched in sweet n tangy sauce and finished with sesame seeds on top. This vanished quickly too from our platters. Vietnamese Rice Rolls are refreshing change from the usual fried appetizers. Translucent rice paper rolls are packed with bright, fresh and crispy flavours and served with an insanely addictive dipping sauce. Jimbaran Style Tiger Prawns from shores of Bali, is a grilled prawn dish and at Wykiki they gives it a saucier twist with scrumptious summer salsa relish. Tiger Prawn Tempura is the classic ultra-light Japanese batter is perfectly fried tiger prawns. The twist here lies with the dusting of shichimi or seven spice Japanese powder. This is relished perfectly with ponzu sauce. Another instant hit was Beijing Express Whistling Chicken. Crunchy nuggets of chicken and served with hot smoky chilis and beans. Not sure why is this called Beijing Express, guess in express speed one will wipe off the plate. In their dim sums we were served with Gold Dusted Dark & Handsome Chicken Dim Sum. The coal black dumplings dragged everyone’s attention on table. The black colour is achieved with dehydrated beetroots and wheat starch and the dim sums were garnished with 24 carat gold dust. The chicken dumpling shall be enjoyed with chili oil. We were served with oriental cocktails like Meemaw, Asian Daiquiri, Crystal Gin & Tonic and Good Karma. But these failed to impress us with its imbalance taste and lack correct proportion of sweetness and alcohol. Such a shame! Pro Tip: Must try Thai Lotus Root, Tiger Prawn Tempura, Gold Dusted Dark & Handsome Chicken Dim Sum and Beijing Express Whistling Chicken

When you're looking for the perfect destination to let loose with your partner or Friends, there's no better place than Wykiki. One Minute! I'm not talking about the famous Wykiki Beach, which is located in Hawaii or Ohau. This place is situated in the 6th floor of Swissotel Kolkata; named as - Wykiki, Asian Street Bar. While you're here, you might not get the sounds of waves lapping the shores, but you can enjoy the open sky sitting on a bench or the inside the cabana. But yes, the sounds of aeroplanes will be there. Last evening I visited this place with my foodie friends and had enjoyed a lot over the cocktails and sumptuous food. Now I would like to start with cocktails that we had. Some of them werere vodka based, some were gin based and some were whiskey based. If you are choosing them from the menu search for Mee maw, Asian daiquiri, Crystal G&T and Good karma. Taking sips from the crystal glasses we had food also. I'm starting with Beijing Whistling Chicken. In this dish you'll find fried chicken chunks along with peanuts and the world famous bhoot jholokia. I had only the pieces of chicken. If you love to add spice, you are always welcome to have the bhoot jholokia And then to give some sweetness to the tastebuds, we had Crispy Lotus Stem. This dish was amazing. After that, we had Vietnamese Rice Paper Roll. I think, I had 3-4 rolls. So, it's enough to describe how I loved the food. By the way, you love Prawn Tempura, right? Me too. So obviously we had it and this is a dish that you can't miss ordering this crispy fingers made of prawn. And we didn't stop. We had Jamarian Prawn. This is another famous street food of Hawaii. The taste of this dish was very refreshing. What are your thinking, how much we ate? Then I have two more dishes for you - Dark Hand Dimsum which was non-veg, I mean chicken; & Veg Crystal Dimsum. But I'm in love with those handsome dimsums. Okay, now I'm stopping my pen here and recommending you to visit this place and enjoy the food and beverages with the ambiance. By the way, if you're thinking about the pocket pinch, let me tell you that this place is actually very pocket friendly and reasonable.

A few days back Maaya, Swissotel had hosted a kebab festival serving some amazing vegetarian as well as non vegetarian kebabs with flavours of Lucknow! I believe the festival was upto the 30th of September. Firstly, as we had expected the ambience was very good. A very comfortable as well as lively atmosphere which was enjoyed by both of us. Secondly, the service was perfect. The staff were very friendly and courteous. We had expected nothing less from Swissotel. Finally about the food at the festival, We had started with some vegetarian kebabs which included the Dahi Ke Kebab, Paneer Tikka Kebab, potato and vegetable kebab. The dahi k kebab were the best ones we had ever tried. They were simply melt in the mouth! Further the paneer were stuffed with cashews and raisins which we absolutely loved. Gave the paneer a very subtle sweetness! In the non vegetarian section, we tried their murg malai kebab, angari murg kebab, mutton seekh kebab, hariyali fish kebab. The angari kebab simply stole the show and was the best of the entire night! The malai kebab were soft as butter quite literally and the seekh kebab had the perfect balance of spices. Only dish we didn't enjoy quite much was the fish kebab which were slightly overcooked! All the kebabs were unlimited and accompanied with chicken biryani, raita, mirchi ka salan and a raspberry and lemon based welcome drink. We also tried a dessert there which was quite good. ? Overall, I had really loved the experience and would love to visit the place again to try their normal menu.
