★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited to explore this well known place. I really happy that I got a chance to visit this. The place is so, peaceful place and there are lot to explore about. This should be under unesco heritage and govt should try to clean it as there were lots of litter, empty plastic bottles and cigarettes buds. People should understand. Overall it is clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The well itself is beautiful. But highly underrated and unmantained. It can greatly benefit the local economy if it can be developed on the lines of the Adalaj Stepwell, but alas!
Currently it serves as a spot for pre-wedding photo shoots

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent heritage place tucked away from sight midway between Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad. This is located close to the DPS school on the Adalaj-Koba highway.
This 15th century step well is smaller than the one at Adalaj (Adalaj ni Vav). Very similar design and motifs although not much animals in the artisan and craftsmanship at show.
This entire area from Patan to Mansa to Adalaj and Ambapur are speckled with step wells. This is a witness of the ruler's concern and provision for the people, given the arid region.
The step well is hidden from human view as it is dwarfed by a temple that has been built at the doorstep. Perhaps a good symbiotic existence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 15th century stepwell, a forgotten piece of history that is not well maintained, maybe due to its location or significance.
Not a important tourist place like adalaj stepwell (adalaj ni vav), but can be made a good tourist place if well maintained.

This is a like hidden gem. Really nice vav that doesn't get the attention it deserves. Very nice carvings. The vav is reasonably clean. At the rear of the vav is a spiral stone staircase (see attached pic) that leads to the topmost level of the last gallery. Worth climbing down - to get a better view of the actual (circular) vav and the steps leading to it.
If you go to Adalaj Vav, try and make it here too.
BTW, this vav is not open in the afternoon, roughly 12 to 4.
