This is a modern temple (as opposed to a Terracotta one) where the presiding Devi is still revered. Goddess Kali is depicted in her enraged form at the temple: 'Headless' is the literal translation of Chhinamasta. The Dalmadal Cannon/Gun path to the Jor-Mandir collection of temples passes through this temple. Bishnupur Bus Stand is 1.5 km, Bishnupur Junction Railway Station is 4 km, and Bishnupur New Bus Stand is 2 km distant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historical temple dedicated to Mata kali in the form of Chinnamasta. Very scared place for hindus. Everyday devotees come there to worship mata Chinnamasta.
Always maintain time table mentioned in the description tab otherwise you can't see the deity as well as get the 'Prasad'.
When mind is disrupted, go and sit there alone and feel the divine spirit which will help you to get rid of the bad condition.
Along with Chinnamasta mata, you will see Mata Sarada and her words.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amongst the most noteworthy and venerated temples in the historic town of Bishnupur, the Chinnamasta Temple should be included in the itinerary of every traveller. It's situated in a prime location, just adjacent to the popular Dalmadal Canon. The temple's complex is extremely well maintained, devotees are assigned a safe place to keep their shoes and the puja materials can be purchased from outside the temple's gate. There are two smaller sized temples on either side of the main temple and those are also very beautiful. The main temple houses a huge idol of Maa Chinnamasta and the temple priest performs regular puja rituals. During the worship time, the devotees are permitted to enter the main temple and offer their respective prayers. Highly recommended to visit while touring Bishnupur.??
