★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Code is a newly opened restaurant located near Krishna hospital, Paud road in Kothrud. They serve variety of appetizers, salad, tikkas, pizza, pasta, curries and biryani. They also serve good variety of cocktails and alcohol.
Visited here with couple of friends. We ordered chicken tikka, chicken burger, Caesar salad, Madras chicken salad and chicken biryani. Everything was delicious. We loved the food.
Overall a great place to hangout with friends.

CODE the speakeasy bar is located st Kothrud, just above new Poona Bakery having ample amount of space for two and four wheeler parking.
The name “CODE Speakeasy Bar” has interesting history behind it.
During world war 2 alcohol was banned for good 6 years in USA. It was hard to get any liquor.
So restaurant owners used sell liquor secretly (illegally) and set a 4 digit passcode to enter the backdoor bar inside restaurant.
So here they mimic the situation of entering code to enter bar. They post 4 digit code daily on their insta page and you need to use that to enter. They have kept pin pad at the entrance.
Of course they have legal liquor license ????
They serve cocktails, mocktails, tap beers and craft beers.
They have huge spread of starters and main course too.
I tried below :
1. A-la-Carte LIIT : they serve the premixed spirits in flask and coke. You can mix it then

2. Red wine sangria : tasty as usual
3. Kolhapuri Thecha Nachos : Nachos served with spicy thecha, salsa and beans
4. Momos : My all time favourite ?
5. KFC : Kerla fried chicken. Boneless chicken chunks deep fried in thick coating. Served along with spicy curry leaves chutney

6. Kolkata style chicken chilli : Similar to chicken chilli but spicier than it. Loved the sauce

Guys, this place is going to rock.
Their in-house DJ and taste of music is just awesome.
They know exactly what to serve with what and menu is designed carefully.
Rates are very low and portions are huge.
Plus it’s kids and pet friendly.
I request you to visit Code the speakeasy bar to enjoy the food with potent cocktails.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Code the speakeasy bar has replaced the Hidden Place of Kothrud a while back now. They've switched up the decor a bit, including some interesting tidbits like an antique telephone, a red phone booth like in Doctor Who and some funny posters.
Coming to the food, they have started these set lunch meals like Pasta meal and Dal Makhani meal at quite reasonable rates approx 250 for a full meal. So one of the meals includes paneer tikka, dal makhani, jeera rice and gulab jamun.
Another one I tried was the one with white pasta, garlic bread and gulab jamun.
The drinks were quite nice, the Cosmopolitan wasn't too sweet so I liked it. My favourite was the Whisky Sour which they'd made quite well.
There is a separate section for smoking, a bar cum cash counter and a dimly lit yet happening atmosphere. This is the kind of place college kids (MIT college Kothrud anyone?) can come after hours to have a few beers and enjoy lunch at pocket friendly rates.

Their live events, ambience, cocktails, quality of food, desserts and safety protocols everything is on point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The menu at the Code the Speakeasy Bar is extensive with mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike.
Everything we had was fresh and top notch. The restaurant also offers a wonderful drinks menu. Their Upside Down drink is a must try!
The service here is speedy and very friendly. Overall the food was quite exquisite and the ambiance was very welcoming. I’d highly recommend this place!

What an outstanding concept behind the name CODE - The Speakeasy Bar!
You need to know the code to enter inside this place. (Follow their Instagram page for daily code ?)
They have "Live Screenings" so you can go enjoy your favourite Football/Cricket match over your favourite drink.
This place has an amazingly vibrant ambience which just elevates to another level during “Live Band Performances”.
The staff here is very welcoming, attentive and courteous. Service is clean and fast.
They have a wide variety of lip-smacking drinks and cocktails, plus they provide “Everyday Offers/Happy hours” as well.
The food here is top-notch. Every dish that we tried was just so delicious.

Overall an affordable party place with outstanding food & drinks, extraordinary ambience and rocking music.
Kudos to the managing team for being cheerful always and coming with new entertaining events..way to go guys!! ?
