When we met Dr. Jaipal Reddy with the preliminary reports, his clear transparent, down to earth explanation of the disease and the way forward, made us see light through the dark tunnel.
As all other patients , we too were skeptical and scared of the entire process. We too were surrounded by myths. But Dr. Reddy gave us a clear understanding and insight of the entire surgery, the pros and cons, the chemo and radiation effects and side effects, the healing process and it's timelines, the advances which science and technology has made in recent years in reconstructive surgery. We are a living proof of myths which are busted
Myth 1: with the removal of the affected portion of tongue , a patient can never speak.
No. The patient can speak , although the speech gets blurred in the initial months post surgery but over a period of time the speech although still blur, is clear enough to understand and communicate
Myth 2
After the surgery, the face gets totally disfigured , sinks in and becomes totally unrecognizable.
No. Reconstructive surgery has made significant advance in this field. The face gets slightly disfigured but only in the operated area. The patient is of course recognisable. My husband is a living proof of the same
Myth 3
The side effect of chemo and radiation do not heal.
No. Chemo and radiation are post operative treatments to control further spread of the disease. Like all surgeries, there are post operative effects which are severe. They gradually ease off. The last being the side effects of radiation. The healing process takes time and tube feeding may be required. This was very well explained to us.
We are blessed that we had a capable surgeon like Dr. Jaipal Reddy. We were able to take quick decisions since he gave a very clear picture in layman language . I salute him for his professionalism, dedication to his patients, his caring, patient, reassuring and understanding nature, his spirits and capabilities.
For us Dr. Jaipal Reddy is GOD IN DISGUISE. The best oncology surgeon

We gave lot of effort to save her but there was no hope we found and luckily we heard about Dr. Jaipalreddy Pogal Cancer Specialist In Pune. After taking natural risk free treatment and some of the course aunt showing symptoms of recovery. After some time she fully recovered.
