★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Kondana Caves are located in the small village of Kondana, 33 km north of Lonavala and 16 km northwest of Karla Caves. This cave group has 16 Buddhist caves. The caves were excavated in first century B.C. The construction on wooden pattern is notable.One can reach the cave by descending from Rajmachi village

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good example of ancient Indian heritage sights. Deep in the jungle and reachable through a jungle trail or rather a trek. One can visit via Karjat or from Lonavala as well through Rajmachi village.
Good place to visit for trekkers, nature lovers and ancient monuments researchers. Doable in one day via Karjat, however one may need to take a hault at Rajmachi if visiting via Lonavala. Monsoon is the best time to visit as to see amazing waterfalls and lush green atmosphere around the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is located at hieght. We have to trek 1.5 hr from Base village 'Kondhane' to reach to 'Kondhane cave'.
It is not huge, but medium.
We went in July 2019. Some renovation work was going on.
