I wish they could improve with the taste of food so that many people would prefer this place but please don’t try it’s not worth for money the quantity is also very less and the price is high

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t want to give a single star. Very pathetic service and food. We ordered two things together and it takes more than 1 hour to get in the table. The reason they are saying is that online order is the reason for delay. Then why we people need to wait for 1hr to get our food.My husband got his order after 40 minutes and I got the thing after 20 minutes (got the appam only not the curry. After 20 minutes I got the curry )that is exactly after consuming his food and he need to wait for me.and when we asked for the owner they told us that he is not there , simply lying. The food is also very bad. Fish is rotten and they simply made it with mango curry. Very very very bad service

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a good destination once upon a time before Covid. Last weekend, I struggled to get my lunch on table, mainly since they are giving priority to online delivery. Hope things will get better and will again be a favourite Kerala restaurant for all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1. Veg meals with Tawa fish fry were good.
2. Samba lime is the best. Would recommend this drink, good for digestion.
3. Need to maintain hygiene.
4. Washrooms was disgusting & stinky
5. They need to have a service person who knows the local language of the state they are living in with English. Not everyone knows Hindi & asks localite to speak in Hindi.
6. Price is too high, not worth the quality and quantity.
7. Service was poor. Do hire those who know about south Indian food better. The service boy was not understanding what we are asking for and got us wrong starters.
3 stars are for Veg meals & samba lime.
All I would say is Malabar bay has lost its charm, it's not like before. People have changed and the place doesn't vibe anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to serve delicious & quality dishes 5 years ago! Visited Malabar bay last week and the food was a mediocre ? Rice in pothichoru was watery ? restaurant was less crowded says the quality of the food! Friendly staff though

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like this restaurant a lot. I go often just to have Kerala style apam and tea. I have tasted crab masala with apam it was delicious. Prawn chilli was tasty but need to reduce sweetness in it. Chinese dishes are nice. Give a try you'll love it. Tea is the best part.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Malabar bay used to have super tasty food. But now the dishes are tasteless, even the quality of the food is questionable.
Staffs are really polite and helpful. But sorry to say food is mediocre. We ordered Biriyani/ puttu/ porotta / fish curry/ chicken fry. But none of them were good. Chicken fry was totally off. Felt like it was made a long back.
It’s sad to see some good restaurants turns into bad. Please work on the quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here in February 2022 on a Monday night for dinner. Non-AC seating was available at first floor. The food was really good, the head waiter was very helpful and attentive. We ordered Wayanad style pepper mutton, Kerala porota, iddyappam and kizhi biriyani (chicken). The service was extremely slow because the place is understaffed. It needs to be maintained better (torn lampshade), however it was clean and neat. The handwash and restrooms were really clean and tidy. Good for a quiet family dinner.
