Please be careful when renting out this particular apt. as we have horrible experience with this owner when getting back our deposit. We lived exactly for a year. When it was given to us the apt was filthy, not painted, master bedroom mattress was all stained n unusable n furniture n switches broken but we were told nothing should be thrown out of the apt. We neither could buy new mattress nor use the master bedroom still we adjusted as it was a 3 bhk. Then continuous repair work started having to replace bathroom fittings, geyser coils etc in all 3 bathrooms. The owners have 2 huge glass shelves in living room. One of them din open and when my husband just pressed open the other glass door to keep something, the entire huge heavy glass fell on my husbands hand...giving him a huge cut n leaving him with 5 stitches n a very dreadful n life threatening memory for me as my 9 month baby n me were right below when the huge glass fell. I had to take our neighbors help to rush him to hospital. Our maid later informed us that the same glass had slipped before when previous tenants were staying but she din warn us as she thought the owners must have fixed it. This was informed to owners father (as he was dealing with us when rent agreement was done) that we just touched the glass n it fell n we had not manhandled it in any way. We spent thousands on this apt, n this incident within in span of 2 months of renting the apt. Now 21 days after vacating the apt the owner has deducted a huge amount from our deposit n charged us not only for the glass but other damages like for filter of chimney, fridge, switches which she claims that her confidants from this same building have checked n not working . Why was this not done when we handed over you the keys?? Simply because everything was working till the last day we stayed n u wanted to extrapolate money somehow from us? Even after giving proof n having witness for the glass incident the owner is not agreeing that glass accident was not our fault n we are victims here. N last thing to the owner you din let us extend our notice period by 15 days out of courtesy or basic human values because of the covid pandemic, the truth is u din find any tenants for your high rent n wanted to exploit us by increasing rent in our notice period. You deducting money from our deposit for no reason without informing us, for damages not done by us , not showing the bills of any repairs u have done for apt is called stealing n shows your values hence writing this review so other tenants don't fall prey like we did. Reduced rent n deposit for this apt now on nobroker proves this n other tenants should not fall in this trap. And also so that other tenants know about the dreadful glass not fixed properly, n avoid any accident as the owner doest seem to care about anyone's life nor has a conscience n is looking out for opportunities to just extract money.
