Very beautiful and holy place for devotees of Lord Shree Rama. It attracts so many travelers and devotees towards nashik. It is located in the central area of Nashik. This place includes various temples as Kalaram temple, Lord Datta Temple, Sita Gufa. The Biggest religious event of India named as Kumbh Mela is taking place here.... This place is located on the bank of Godavari River. It is developed by Municipality of Nashik and now it become more attractive. The Nashik city have great history in concern with Hindu Religious. It is believed that when Lord Ram along with Sita and Lakshman went into exile for 14 years, they made Panchavati their home. The word literally means 'Garden of Five Banyan Trees'. The trees can still be seen in the temple premises near Sita Gufaa and are believed to have existed even during the times of Ramayana.

This temple is situated in panchavati area, River Godavari flows through Nashik and its Northern part is called as Panchavati. It is said that lord Shri Ram and Sita along with Laxman stayed at Panchavati for some time. Thus Panchavati has gained holy importance. There are five Banyan (Vad) trees and hence the area is called Panchavati.Nearby is Sita Gumpha (cave) where Sita is said to have stayed for some time.
