★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great initiative to turn this hovel place into an area of significance and cultural display. There is much scope to expand. Timings are from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs. Ticket price is ₹30/- per head. An ideal place for photography and a little history lesson ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kolkata is the only city in India where trams runs still, it was in my wish list to see the tram museum so this time I got the opportunity to visit this museum after visiting this place came to know about the history of tram ,it was a good experience. must visit place for kids to know the tram history.
We didnt want to miss tram museum in kolkata..so had shuffled our itinerary so that we can visit during opening hrs in 2nd half. Some locals were suprised when we asked directions for trammuseum. We took cab and still couldnt trace, google map stopped at bus stand area and going around we had to ask traffic police for the place. Finally my opinion, tram museum is small place and not worth the time.

The entrance is on the lane around the right side from the Gariahat Tram Depot tram entryway.
Tickets are Rs 30 each. Staff were friendly and helpful, and had no expectations of tips or gratuities.
Most of the trams are relatively modern ones, manufactured between 1975 and 1980. There is only one truly vintage wooden track laying and repair from 1925, with small saplings growing out of its wooden sides.
Each tram has photographs, paintings and tram mechanical and electrical memorabilia inside, so it is worth having a couple of hours, or more, in hand to explore inside each tram.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of a kind, great initiative - 4 stars just for that. In a pretty accessible location, though the entrance is off the main road.
The idea of converting part of a tram depot into a place of interest is great.
The art and design and placement of elements is all over the place, and could've been considerably better. Things seem to have been done in a haste. But the amount of open access you get to the trams and engine room is exciting.
Consider visiting this place to experience something unique and help such ideas grow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really is a nice place to visit, loved the ambience. Trams are very well preserved. It's a nice place where you can get plenty of aesthetic pictures at just rupees 30 for the entry fee. And most importantly this place is not crowded, a place where you can cherish the past. A must visit according to me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being one of the earliest visitors after it's inauguration, I can state that the Tram World museum is a unique project, showcasing the rich heritage of Kolkata Tramways & it's significant connection to the British Empire. Here, you will come across several antique tram coaches, which have been transformed into small museums. You can also read through the various article posters, which throw ample light on the history, engineering and the future plans of Kolkata Tramways. However, there is plenty of room for improvement, which can help to ameliorate the facilities, cleanliness and overall visitors' experience. The entrance fee is ₹30. Recommended for one-time visit only. ??
