The Irish embassy does take some time during its peak season especially when it comes to the student visas. It is therefore advisable that you apply earliest. They have clearly mentioned this in their website and it is difficult for them to respond to communications as they are flooded with applications in this duration. My application took longer than expected as I had applied during their peak season.

I have not went to this place physically as my Visa was managed by VFS Global but I got my study visa in just 2 weeks. This is super fast service. I faced no issues with them while my visa process and I am glad that I chose Ireland for my higher studies.

Thanks for your services. As per the timeline they say to complete the work, I would say they are efficient. But the timeline in itself is kind of time taking, as compared to other embassies. The only solution is, apply with ample time in hand and take rest. Don't send them messages until your timeline is expired, this only annoys them. So I will give you rough estimates. My wife and me have applied a Spouse Visa, on 22nd July 2019 and we got the result on 27th September 2019. So in total it took- 66 days - 16 weekends = 50 days or 7 weeks. Being a researcher it should have taken 6 weeks or less. But still I am happy because the travel is in December. Thankyou VFS and Embassy of Ireland.

I am sharing our good experience which we had in 2018. My wife had to attend a conference and hence we made a joint application for a conference visa for her and tourist visa for myself. Since it was peak season, we applied almost a month before the departure date. In the second week of applying, I got a call from embassy at around 8:30 at night informing that the NOC document of my wife had errors wrt travel dates and told us to email the corrected certificate asap. Infact they called on my wife's phone first, and since they couldn't connect with her due to network issues, they contacted me. We did it and got our visas one week before departure. When we collected passports from VFS, we realised that the visas were not BIVS endorsed. Since we had planned to return through London, it was necessary. We emailed to the embassy regarding this and went there the next day without taking any prior appointment. We were apprehensive. However, the embassy staff knew about this issue from our email and they were very kind to let us in, and issued BIVS endorsed visas on that day itself without any additional documentation or charges. So, overall my experience with Embassy of Ireland in Delhi is Excellent, with very helpful and kind staff, and Ireland was such a beautiful country with fantastic people worth the visit. Thanks to Embassy??

When their website information is not clear, there is not use of writing to them. Without even reading the content they will reply to refer the website again. The hyperlinks in the website are directed to incorrect places and again when you ask them in query , they will ask to refer the website. Checklist for short stay instead of link to pdf, redirects to inis.gov.ie which say on it that it is out of date and there is no checklist in the website. But the embassy query will ask to look at the website . Very poor standard of service I think they are forcing to pay for the VFS additional service - check and verify by keeping everything in grey area

I have applied my Ireland employment visa through the VFS Bangalore. I have got my visa approved in 10 days and got back my passport the next day though the embassy was working with limited staff. Thanks to the embassy staff at New Delhi. Whole process was streamlined significantly.
