★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit. But it is now converted in to girl's hostel. Visitors are not allowed inside. Vidhyasagar is one of the greatest person in India. He was a great thinker, writer and very intelligent person then. He translates Sanskrit alphabets into Bengali alphabets, which is quite easy to write. The title 'vidhyasagar' was given to him by Sanskrit College, Kolkata.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This heritage building is using as a study center, and there is a campus of Vidyasagar collage for women. It is not used as a visiting destination of the city. However there is a lot of history related to Vidyasagar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place on 18th October ( day of our visit) was not ready yet to take the visitors. There was only one room open which is reeking of fresh smell and newly done interiors. The staff behaviour was exceptionally bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar lived here in this house for a long time. After the government took over this property, it has become an educational establishment. The house is in north Kolkata, just beside the Hrishikesh park.
