★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently moved out of 010 Maa Gokulam apartments after 2+ years and since it is available for rent now, thought it would be good to share feedback for potential future occupants. The apartment is owned by Mr Tirumala Chiranjeevulu.
tldr; keep away if possible. You are not getting your security deposit back!
Feedback on stay:
- Woodwork is of very poor quality. Hinges of almost all shutters in the bottom cabinets broke. We had to keep fixing them. Same happened with the shoe rack in the living area(handles broke).
- There was hardly any water in the utility area. We had to move our washing machine to one of the baths.
- There is lot of sand in the water so you would have to keep cleaning tap filters biweekly and RO filters more frequently than usual.
- During rains there was lot of seepage in the walls and roof.
- Namesake amenities. The one treadmill in the gym does not work(you can ask the guard even).
Moving-out:
IT WAS TERRIBLE! We had paid 1.25L as security deposit and the agreement mentioned 2 months of notice period. The agreement also stated that we would have to pay ~1 months rent towards painting, wear and tear etc. We vacated only a month after the notice period and mutually agreed that the landlord would take care of the painting "if needed". Frankly, a touch-up would have sufficed. Anyways, after starting painting work the landlord told us that it would be **Rs. 63,000 for painting and 4,500 for cleaning**. He also started asking for keys to the room doors which he never gave to us. When we told him that had not given us the keys he started asking us to get the locks replaced. He even threatened to charge us another extra month of rent if the painting did not complete on time. On the current listings he has increased to 3L which makes me sad. Please be extremely cautious if you must live here, though I am sure you can find plenty other options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great apartment with Cauvery water and 24/7 power backup. Nice location having a Lake, Play Arena, Schools( GNS, GIS, Euro, Kinfolks and Intelitots) near by. Best access for Office and upcoming metro station nearby.
