★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Somehow Delhi has a unique Tradition of having Funerary Gardens as some of the finest places to visit .This post Independence Garden does not have much to show in terms of built heritage but the Natural Heritage is superbly on display ...These finely maintained garden memorials are a sweet way to remember our leaders .I love coming hers for my walks and my immersion in nature .Trees and flowers make this place so much alive

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice, beautiful and memorial park on the bank of Yamuna River near Iron Bridge. At this place our beloved Prime Minister Sh. Lal Bahadur Shashtri was creminated in 1966.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vijay Ghat, Delhi is the memorial of India’s second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri. He was a great freedom fighter who was associated with the likes of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. After the death of Jawaharlal Nehru he was elected as India’s second prime Minister. Vijay Ghat meaning the Victory bank was made the memorial of this ‘little dynamo’ who died of a heart attack in 1966 during his peace mission to Tashkent. This Memorial is situated on the banks of the Yamuna just near an artificial lake to the north of the beautiful garden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome please. Much appreciated. Writing a review about the memorial of martyrs is not an easy task but it's well worth of its visit. Surrounding area is also very nice and security is very high. I would rate this place 6/5 star if possible.
