The famous boudha stupa of amaravathi. It is an awesome place to spend some time. One can go around and inside the stupa to find great sculptures depicting a few scenes of budha's life. It is well maintained and clean.

This was an amazing place to see. The tallest Dhyana Buddha, measuring 125 feet, is nearing completion after a gap of eleven years. Telugu Desam leaders are planning to invite AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to unveil the statue at Amaravati

Dhyana Buddha is a statue of Gowtham Buddha which is constructed during Kalachakra time some time in 2007. It's about 125 feet tall on the banks of river krishna. There used to be a government official by name Mallikarjuna Rao who is the sculptor. He is my colleague when I worked at Amaravati. This is a nice place to visit. But now grossly neglected with very low maintenance. Sad state of affairs
