★ ★ ★ ★ ★ you can board the ferry to go to konnagar. The boats are large enough to hold 60-70 people. It is available in every 15 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A scenic trip across Ganges to Konnagar from Panihati. From Sodepur traffic more there is toto and rickshaw available. Walking distance around from Sodepur traffic more is around 12 minutes. The ferry service is just beside the iskon temple. Only big boat/steamers run now. They have upgraded this about a year ago. As of 2021 ticket price is 8 per person. And if you have bike; the ticket is 12 rs. and the boatman will also demand 8 rupees to help you board the ferry with your vehicle. From 5.30 am am to 10.30 pm with a gap 15 minutes they provide service. Adequate safety measures taken with additional bonus of beautiful flowing river, ghats and mandirs, street foods, peoples, sunset. The maintenance of the area is poor though as you can expect from the govt run service.
