★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is in between Baranagar ghat and Baghbazar ghat on the Hooghly river. The last ceremony of Paramhansa Sri Ramakrishna was held here on 16th August 1886. It's a spiritual and historical place. People from far away visit the holy place. It is a calm, quiet and clean place. The temple dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna, Belurmath, Howrah is opposite side of it. It's looked wonderful from here. It is an important communication point to local people also. It takes more than one hour to reach Dalhousie via bus. But it is a very smooth journey via launch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A well maintained ghat. Nice place to sit and chill. Most of the Durga Pratimas immersion are done here. The ghat next to this ghat is kuti ghat from where you can take a launch and go to the opposite side of the river Belur math and others places to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The name of the ghat is deeply associated with other nearby creamation grounds, especially the resting place of Sri Sri Ramakrishna whose nearby resting place draws scores of devotees of Ramakrishna Mission. Leave apart this fact, this ghat or the gateway has a ferry service which is a lifeline for the locals. It is also the place where idols after every Puja are immersed. All said it has a peculiar charm of its own. You may feel sad, you may feel happy but you just can't ignore this place, it gets addictive and draws you in. The Hooghly that flows down adds that charm.
