Riyasat in South City Mall, is a stellar addition to the gastronomical landscape of South Kolkata in recent years.
Start with a Gondhoraaj Melon Crusher, not only the colour but the taste will sooth penchant souls,
Must try dishes are the Riayasati Gosht Biriyani, rich fragrance and flavour of which will surely make you envision the royalty of Rajasthan
Succulent pieces of mutton in Khad Gosht or the tender mardana murgh wrapped in a warm tandoori roti or a naan will elevate you to a different world
Bengalis love their fish and will not feel missed out as tender bhetki fillets are pit baked in a white sauce in the form of Bhetki Zamin Doz or a more spicier variant in Talli Machhi ...
People with a sweet craving must and I daresay must try out the Kesari Kulfi with chia seeds (yes, health freaks!!) Or the Choco Mawa pudding serving as a perfect blend!!
The ambience of the entire restaurant and the presentation of the dishes only help accentuate the experience!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Craving for a great Biriyani? You should definitely try the Gosht Biriyani at this place. Me and my friends were supposed to have lunch and instantly we decided to visit this prime location place. This place is situated at 3rd floor of South City Mall. The ambience here is dark themed and it good. They have a pretty bar counter. But it's famous for Indian and mughlai dishes only.
Let me go on with what we ordered first:-
1. Riyasat Gosht Dum Biryani
2. Safead Murgh Portion
3. Mirch Masala Kulcha
4. Amritsari Kulcha
The Biriyani was too good. This is some of the finest tasty biriyani I had. The mirch masala kulcha was also very good. Safead murg was creamy and delicious. As a side dish it was perfect with biriyani and kulcha.
So we had a mishap during the order. The amritsari Kulcha was not ordered by us and hence it came complementary. Though it was not good in taste. It was very small amout. Not enough for one person also. Don't order the amritsari Kulcha it's waste of money. Other than this everything was royal. The service was also very good. Do let go of the service charge if you do not want to pay extra amount during billing. You should definitely visit once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to many restaurants of late but I have not written anything about food because of the dining experience has not been really good, food taste and food varieties & food service being very important parts of dining experience I found imbalances most of the times when it came to maintaining those parts in restaurants
But tonight I have had an wondrous experience at Riyasat Southcity Mall, I have heard a lot about the restaurant for long and never could manage to visit the restaurant until tonight
The service have been very prompt and staffs are very courteous
Now if you ask me about the foods splendid is the word that will come out of the mouth and I am looking forward to visiting the restaurant soon again

Phulkopi Karashuti pan roll
This is a Indian spring roll version of samosa with strong flavour of "Kalonji" Nigella seeds
Bhetki Zamin Doz
This is baked bhetki prepration inside parchment paper, this is a derivatives of our very popular Bengali dish Bhapa bhetki
Qasuri jheenga Harimiri
This is a prawn preparation in semi dry thik gravy with red yellow peppers, this is again a variation of North Indian dish Prawn jalfrezi but it's spiked with green pepper corn
And Assorted Indian breads (Tandoori roti & Naan)
They serve some complimentary Lavash during the food waiting period to nibble on along with some selection of dips and condiments, which earned some extra brownie points for them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of this beautiful Kolkata mall. Was expecting a better food experience from this restaurant as it is from the Specialty Restaurant group In the starter only the gulchi kabab was good All other vegetarian kababs were very mediocre. The breads and the main dish curries were all below standard except for the corn spinach curry. The main saving grace in the restaurant was the excellent service
I would not recommend or think of returning to this restaurant

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambience is great and so are the staff members. The food is quite delicious but waiting time for getting the food served is quite long. It almost took us 45 mins to get our appetizers. However, the cost of the dishes in comparison to the quantity offered is not as expected.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything which looks fancy doesn’t mean it’s good. I have been to soo many restaurants but this is the first time that after eating the food i felt ill and my stomach got upset.
I ordered chicken butter masala nd tawa chicken which were greasy and taste was really bad that after eating I started feeling sick nd everyone with me was also not feeling good …
Service is soo slow that i waited 25 mins just for my bill nd that to when there was no rush. After asking the waiter for the bill multiple times I don’t know why but they kept ignoring. Not just mine I observed everyone was waiting really long for an order. Price is high nd not at all worth eating… if u want to eat good there are other restaurants and food court too choose from that but if u wanna get sock from eating there stale greasy food then go for it.
Don’t encourage these restaurants…. Waiters were fighting with customers nd talking rudely. No good ambiance nd just a waste of money.
