★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall, VRL services are the best in class, clean, cool and efficient bus travels, in all parts of India. But I have to share this stand-alone case as it shook my faith and made me question my loyalty toward VRL. Kindly read below.
I was asked to pay Rs. 100 because I was taking my USED microwave in a CARTON. If I had brought it in a packet or luggage (LOL), I wouldn't have to pay the supposed GST tax (very ambiguous details were being spat on my face).The manager Yella Raju @ Koyembedu Bus Station, Chennai was rude, and did not want to explain to me as to why I was paying this. He just kept repeating that beacuse of GST, people will stop at the border and check, and time will be wasted. He gave me a receipt for Rs 100 where my "luggage", was apparently 20 kg (when it was less than 7 or so), and 'minimum' charge was levied. I asked him how much would I have to pay if it was more than 20 kgs, he answered with an analogy of "Chota Baccha, chota price, Bada baccha, Bada price". I was speechless. They don't have any rules and regulations to show, and demand ambiguous fees for unwonted things.
I want to know why I had to pay extra for transporting a used product. Is this how VRL likes to inflate its revenue, or is it just? Kindly help me understand, because the manager apparently is a very inflated and busy person in the Koyembedu bus stand. He's acts like the CEO of VRL.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They were supposed to parcel a bicycle to Pune. The executive I talked to, Seth, told me after two days of discussions to come at 5.30PM today. When I reached with the cycle, he first said that the bus had left, then said there's no space in the bus, and then said I should have come at 2PM. Very unprofessional and plain silly talk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be cautious to get faked by them. They make us book a quality bus and for departure they bring other low class busses for transport. Guding and accomodations they provide is Average.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff at the bus stand is really patient and helpful. Busses arrive and depart on time. Cleanliness of the busses can be improved, but the overall service is reliable and comfortable
